AN AMAZING CALL

On 24th January, it was an amazing day, because a call from Ramachandran has come. He asked to come to the school to conduct a meeting of old students of our school. Souja and Umaifa are the co-coordinators of this program me. Even though Krishnakumar has actively engaged in , he had to go to his business place urgently. So Ramachandran undertook the endeavor. Thus he phoned me on 24th January. Even though I asked him whether I could come by that time, because I am residing at Ooramana near Muvattupuzha ,still I have to go that day because of his enthusiasm. However I went on 26th of January to our school . First I went to my house .

There was my elder sister and family. They dropped me at school and they were more eager to see our engagements. They came to the class and wished all their support to us. The class room was our old XA. It was very interesting that we could sat at the same class XA, where we had been in 1983. There is no change to our school except the raw where our classroom is functioning. The old latrine is now so neat and tiled. There was Ramachandran, Bimal, Kesavan Nambisan (from Trissur), Souja, Umaifa, Abitha and Sobha (from Trissur). I could not understand Ajayan and Aysha abruptly. Souja who was well dressed in her schooldays itself , still remains the same. Now it is very happy to know that she is working in a school . Bimal , who was a book worm has changed in his looking. He was brilliant , and calm and quiet student. He now also is a curious man , in his nature.
Ramachandran, I dont know whether we had talked each other, is now an Engineer , but no such egotism in him. We, Bimal, Kesavan, Joshy, Sobha etc. are old students from 1st standard onwards. There we talked about our old teachers and our friends. Kesavan Nambisan is a good mimikry artist. He expressed each one's 'presentation ' in the class. He is a medical repersentative in Trissur. He became an interesting comody artist. Josy's hair style is already changed. So I could not understand him. His hair style was like our old cinema star. I don't know whether he has cut his hair or a baldness affected him. Even though Ajayan looked like a 'matured' in his perosnality, he is a nice person, very gentle, and calm. Abitha, who was my oldest friend where we had been met at the paddy fields, to water the paddy fields, has no changes to her, but change Only in her dress. Sobha who is my cousin sister, is now also remains the same as then. We sat in the 1st bench from 1st standard to 10th standard closely . We exchanged one drop of ink , books , happiness and sorrows each other. Umaifa and Isha who were very close to Souja (I don't know whether on caste basis) , are now very pleasing in their charater. Another joke was that somebody said that our English Teacher Antony Sir, had passed away, when we decided to be him the preside of the function. But for our sake, he is still alive. Most of our teachers are in good healthy condition. Eventhough we 12 had been participated , it was a marvellous function. Only then, we came to knew that 3 of our friends , viz, Viswanathan, Sushama and Santhoshkumar have dissociated from us. It was a shocking news. However we enjoyed that day by mutual understanding and by redeculing one another. We have had lunch at the school itself . Ramachandran and joshy arranged food for us. We enjoyed that lunch very much. I never get such a pleasure in the school days. We parted at half past two and some of them went to Sushama's house.
